To undertake a solar panels installation, requires competant, but good knowledge of plumbing principles. If you are changing the hot water cylinder, then a Part P qualified plumber is recommended.
Hoist the panel up to the roof using correct safety equipment is relatively straight forward. A scaffolding tower up to roofline level is required for a safe working platform to work from.
The electrical set up is basic, but if you are taking an electrical spur from the bathroom area, then a Part P electrical qualification is required.
We would not advise anyone who is not a fully accredited electrician to attempt this type of installation.
