Future proof your business
By 2020 there will be an estimated 13,000 solar panels installations by business and 110,000 in the commercial and public sector, supplying 25% of the heat demand in these sectors while creating 150,000 jobs.
We have 38 years combines experience in commercial PV solar panels, solar heating and heat pumps installations across the United Kingdom.
The golden age of cheap energy is over. An investment in solar panels is an investment in your energy future.
Feed in tariffs for solar electric panels
The feed in tariff's or FIT's scheme guarantees a minimum payment for all electricity generated by solar panels, as well as a separate payment for the excess power exported to the National Grid. These payments are in addition to the bill savings made by using the electricity generated on-site.
Once you have a solar panels installaton, you should experience a size-able reduction in your electricity expense and then receive an additional income from your feed in tariff scheme. However, if you have taken out a loan to pay for the installation and you can make monthly repayments to your loan company.
The feed in tariff is designed so that the average monthly income from your installation will be significantly greater than your monthly loan repayment (with a 25 year loan as an example). The scheme is for these electricity and heat generating micro generation systems, up to an installation size of 5 Mega Watts:
Photovoltaic solar electricity (PV) roof mounted and stand alone.
Wind turbines. Building mounted or free standing.
Hydro-electricity stations
Anaerobic digestion systems
Micro combined heat and power (micro CHP) (limited to a pilot at this stage)
The FIT's scheme aims to support all levels of renewable heat generation including commercial projects open to anyone, including households, landlords, businesses, farmers, schools and hospitals.
You will benefit from the scheme in 3 ways:
Generation Tariff is a set rate paid by your energy supplier for each unit (or kWh) of electricity you generate with micro generation systems. This rate will change each year for later adopters to the scheme (except for the first 2 years), but once you join the scheme, you will continue with the same tariff for the next 20 years, or 25 years in the case for pv solar panels.
Energy Bill Savings - On top of that, you will make savings on your bills , because the generating electricity to power your appliances, means you don't have to buy as much electricity from your energy supplier. This amount saved will vary, depending how much of the electricity you use on site and the size of system you install.
In March 2011, the UK Government announced the Renewable Heat Incentive scheme. The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) is designed to provide financial support to encourage home owners, communities and business to switch from using fossil fuels for heating, to micro generation systems such as wood fuel and solar heating panels.
The RHI scheme aims to support all levels of renewable heat generation including commercial projects open to anyone, including households, landlords, businesses, farmers, schools and hospitals. The scheme will give you a guaranteed feed in tariff style payment which will help towards the investment cost of your prefered micro generation technology.
Examples of renewable heat systems covered by the scheme are:
Solar thermal heat and hot water panels.
Biomethane injection and biomas combustion, except landfill gas.
Solar panels including installation quotes are as easy as 1, 2, 3.
