installers are hero's, not in the 'special super power' type way,
but it will be the rapid install of solar across the globe, which may
save our beautiful planet.

Old traditional solar versus
the NEW 'direct' solar evacuated tubes.
Old traditional solar (OS) uses
chemical antifreeze, but direct solar heats the water directly, which
is simpler and more efficient. OS large percentage of gained heat is lost
is through heat exchangers. 'Direct' thermal solar does not use heat
exchangers, we 'efficiently' heat the water directly OS requires new hot water cylinders,
direct solar usually don't so they are faster to
fit, and more environmentally friendly. OS needs safety valves,
direct solar has an open vent which is
inherently simpler and safer. OS solar sells its products,
by driving to your home, emitting CO2 in
the process, direct solar sells via it
'cutting edge' eco friendly survey. OS are imported systems
from hotter climates requiring multiplepanels
to make up the difference, but direct solar
is specially designed for the UK Climate. OS is a more complicated
system to install, but direct solar can offer
a DIY Kit, because of its simplicity.
The Heat my Home story
Heat my Home is targeted at homeowners
who want to save money on energy bills and reduce their carbon footprint. It also provides an invaluable
source of new business for local solar installers, around the UK.
Heat my Home prides itself on our innovative 'eco-friendly home suitability surveys'. Part of this is 'not sending pushy salesmen' around the country in greenhouse gas emitting cars, saving thousands of tonnes of CO2 in salesmen’s emissions and solar installers emissions too. We can satisfactorily survey a home using your information and satellite technology, through our pioneering eco-friendly surveys...SMART EH!
Heat my Home see's nearly 3.5 million
visitors and rising a year. We are convinced this new venture will also become
one of the most accessed websites in the UK as he explained;
"I was investigating installing solar
panels in general for my family home and realised that there was no comprehensive
point of reference where I could find the information and contacts I needed.
With so much focus on global warming it was obvious that there was a huge
gap in the market for this kind of website. We are very excited about how
the website will serve both people and businesses and help to accelerate
the use of renewable technology within the UK."
The website pulls a wealth of solar information into one
central online location and gives its visitors a practical introduction to
the latest solar technologies, local and national directories of solar installers
and suppliers, advice on technology choices and installation, links to community
organisations, lobbyists and government contacts and information on sources
of funding.
In addition the Heat my Home solar installers website
holds a comprehensive educational resources for schools and details of universities
offering specialist courses.
Heat my Home added; "National trends
show that renewable energy isn't a choice for businesses to buy into any
more but a necessity in order to maintain the sustainability of the planet.
This website provides a huge range of resources and has one of the only
fully comprehensive directories of companies relating to solar energy in
the UK."
The Heat my Home has been labelled an authority
in the subject of solar panels
and solar installers, looking to showcasing the latest solar technology for
the UK climate and provides an invaluable source of information to help anyone
combat the potentially devastating effects of global warming through the use
of renewable energy.
Paul added, we are now looking to take Heat my Home, to
the next level, and is looking for successful entrepreneurs, to make the
brand a real household name in solar, with the forth coming green and renewable
energy markets opening up, the doors are well and truley being flung open
for this potential market.
The solar technology, especially the hot water
thermal type has evolved from the complicated ungreen technology of old, and
is now easy and uncomplicated to install, meaning tradesmen across the country
are now joining the solar revolution, and becoming solar installers, within
there own established businesses.
Wind turbines vs 'direct' solar
Most urba area's do not get enough wind speeds
to operate turbines.
Turbines generate 40Db of sound, equivalent to a noisy office environment
outside your bedroom window.
Turbines have been reported to have vibration problems.
Turbines require tolerant neighbours.
Turbines won't get planning permission granted if you have neighbours or urban
areas.
Turbines supply approx 750 KWh per year, ours can provide 1100 KWh.
Turbine moving parts are prone to breaking down.
1KW (650KWh per year) Turbines will not produce 30% of most households energy
needs as claimed.
"The likely output of a micro-wind
turbine on a pitched roof house in a large city such as Manchester would be
less than 150kWh a year; 2% of the energy consumption of an average house"
